STEAM Members become Certified [L5] when they understand enough so that they can solve major problems when they arise. They will be tested on both their specific Tech Role duties, as well as troubleshooting techniques to solve problems in their domain. They will now need to show that they can communicate their knowledge, by training Shadows [L2] & Supervised [L3] trainees, and by training Independents [L4] how to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.

Certified [L5+] STEAM members will be able to represent the STEAM team at paid events. We take this STEAM representation seriously, focusing on high-quality standards and excellent customer service. These members will be given additional tools needed for success, including access to resources, advanced planning & information, and training.

  • Receives access to STEAM Coffee & Snack Bar when scheduled.
  • Receives a STEAM Training Hub account and access to the training library.
  • Receives a Planning Center account and starts to be scheduled for events/services.
  • Receives a STEAM Polo or Jersey, when available.
  • Receives opportunities to work paid events representing Suncoast STEAM.
  • Receives access codes to secure STEAM doors where required (Tech Closet and Tech Deck).
