Role 11: Tech Director

Tech Director Sabbatical Announcement

I have been granted a 3-month sabbatical as the Suncoast Tech Director from Pastor Tim, starting on Thursday March 14. I am excited about this much needed break, and am intending to find improvements in my perspective, motivation, and energy levels. Our Worship Pastor Daniel will be taking over all leadership, scheduling, and planning duties for the STEAM Team during this season. It is not a coincidence that this timing aligns with the completion of this STEAM training hub (https://mysuncoasttech.com/). Unless given alternate direction from Pastor Daniel, please continue to follow the STEAM “System” described on the training hub. Work on role training and promotion up the training levels. Continue the role checklists, shadowing, and supervision. Finally, please respond to the Planning Center invites quickly, so that Pastor Daniel has enough time to fill all the tech needs. You guys are awesome!!! Thank you so much for this opportunity.

Message from the Tech Director

Greetings STEAM Team, Worship Team, and Pastors,

With the launch of this STEAM Training Hub, we are now unparalleled in our communication and transparency concerning our team's systems and processes. Nothing that we've documented here is arbitrary or random. There is a purpose for everything that we do. Most of the content has been specifically created to address the various problems that we've experienced. And above all the tech-specific details, we are problem solvers in the end. Efficiency is necessary to achieve high-quality results (including consistent reliability), while minimizing the volunteer workload and financial costs. Much time, effort, and trial & error have been invested in our current state and we're proud of it.

With that said, PLEASE help us improve. Please learn our systems documented in this training hub and personally let me know if something can be improved. Together, we will gain an understanding of what problems may be solved and what problems may be created with the proposed changes. And then we will analyze and search for alternatives that will yield the optimal cost-benefit result. Information is necessary to come to an informed conclusion - one that has the most likelihood of success. Thank you for your support!
